Encourage leaders to find climate solutions…

The latest bad climate news was unveiled on Wednesday: Scientists from NOAA, NASA, Great Britain, and Japan reported that our Earth reached record-high temperatures in 2016, the third such year in a row. So Rep. Mia Love’s recent announcement that she has joined the U.S. House of Representatives Climate Solutions Caucus could not have come at a more timely moment.

The caucus, which requires members to join with a colleague from across the aisle, currently consists of nine Republicans and nine Democrats. I am extremely proud of Rep. Love for being the first of our elected federal officials to publicly take steps to address this important topic. I would like to encourage Reps. Chris Stewart, Rob Bishop and Jason Chaffetz to do the same. A united voice from the Utah delegation would be a wonderful demonstration of climate leadership and would set a powerful example for neighboring Western states.

If you would like to see your U.S. representative join the Climate Solutions Caucus, call or email him or her with your request. Your representatives are your voice in Washington, so please speak out. Additional information on grassroots climate action can be found at citizensclimatelobby.org.
