BLM announces February virtual meeting of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument Advisory Committee

The Bureau of Land Management invites the public to attend a virtual public meeting of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument Advisory Committee from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Feb. 29. Public comment will take place from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or until they conclude, whichever comes first, according to a statement from BLM Utah.

The 15-member, citizen-based committee provides information and advice to the Secretary of the Interior on science-based issues concerning the monument.

Agenda items for the February meeting will include administrative business; a status update on the monument resource management plan; a public comment period and election of the advisory committee chair.
