A group of volunteers from Utah Valley State College spent their spring break helping make improvements and repairs to the Fisher Towers hiking trail during their spring break. BLM volunteer camp hosts Charlie and Gayle Brown helped instruct the group. The volunteers, who were in the area March 13-14, built rock dams for drainage and stairs in a steep wash. The project, organized by Trail Mix and the Moab BLM office, marks the beginning of a large scale maintenance project that will take the next two seasons to complete.
