At the home, a Moab City Police officer found several people who apparently had been drinking. The officer also found marijuana and other drug paraphernalia on the living room table.

A 28-year-old man and a 25-year-old man were cited for providing the alcohol to the group, the rest of whom were under 21 years of age, according to a report from the Moab City Police Department. Coins, other items stolen from vehicle parked at home

A Chinle Dr. resident contacted the Moab City Police Department on May 19 to report the theft of several items from her vehicle. The woman told police she noticed about $20 in quarters missing from the car’s ashtray when she was leaving for work on the morning of May 19. She said the coins were stolen overnight from the unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of her home.

The woman also reported that a case containing CDs had been stolen two days before. While the officer was taking her statement, her husband located the CD case lying in a neighbor’s yard, according to a report from the Moab City Police Department.

The woman said she believes the CD case was taken on Sunday, May 16, when the car was also left unlocked. She said she locked the vehicle on May 17, but forgot to lock it the next night, and then found the coins missing. Police are searching for leads in the case. Several similar thefts have been reported in recent weeks in the same neighborhood, according to the report.

The man told a Moab City Police officer that he found the door and lid to his vehicle’s gas tank open that morning. He said the tank was full the previous night, but was only half full in the morning.

Bicycle stolen from Club Red

A 12-year-old boy contacted Moab City Police on May 20 to report that his bicycle and helmet were stolen outside the Club Red youth center on Center Street. The boy told police he believed the items were stolen on May 14, when he left the bicycle parked outside the center.

Moab man arrested for intoxication

A Moab man was arrested for public intoxication after a woman told police the man, 33, refused to leave her home on Bowen Circle. She said the man had come to the home to try to get some things he said belonged to him, but he fled on his bicycle after she called police, according to a report from the Moab City Police Department.

A Moab City Police officer located and detained the man while another officer took the woman’s report. The woman declined to press charges against the man, but he was arrested and charged with intoxication, according to the police report.
