Beginning June 9 and continuing through June 27, the MARC will host Arty Farty for kids age 5 through 8. The program will run two hours each day, Monday through Friday, and includes all materials for the activities, according to a news release from the MARC.
In July, a digital media program featuring game design, science fiction movies and animation will be offered by Spy Hop Productions. The workshop will be held July 21 to July 25.
“[Spy Hop’s]staff are some of the most dedicated folks I have ever met,” said Laurie Collins, director of the MARC. “They help kids find their own unique voices.”
July 28 through Aug. 8, Xanadu Performing Arts Company, based in Crested Butte, Colorado, will present a summer theater camp. The program is for kids age 4 through 15 and will include music, dance, acting, prop building and script writing.
“There is high demand for youth programs in the summer, so we decided to partner with regional organizations to bring more top notch children’s programs to the area,” Collins said.
Scholarships or early-bird registration discounts are available but students must register before June, Collins said. For more information call 435-259-6272.
