Enjoy a full course Indian dinner, live entertainment from Bollywood Moab, complete with a sunset social – all to support Moab’s community radio station, KZMU FM. The evening will feature the Bollywood Moab Dancers and authentic Indian cuisine including vegan, vegetarian and meat dishes.

The event kicks off with a sunset social at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. at a private home in Moab. Tickets are $50 per person, and are limited in number. KZMU officials said Feb. 18 that only a few tickets are still available.

“When people sit down to share a meal so carefully prepared, all in support of something so communal like KZMU, it nourishes in so many ways, and it’s always deeply gratifying to see how much Moab supports local culture and the arts,” said KZMU Program Director Christy Williams.

“Building capacity through community engagement and fundraising events is a growing trend with non-profits, and KZMU is no exception as federal and foundational support becomes more scarce,” she added. “This model of radio broadcast really depends on innovative creativity from as many voices and tastes as possible. Luckily, there’s a lot of that in Moab.”

Dunton thanked the donors who made the event possible, as well as the homeowners who are hosting the dinner, the chefs and the dancers.

“The station is devoted to its mission to bring multicultural voice, diversity and expressive opportunities for all community members,” Dunton said. “If community members would like to see different programming or different services through this free media hub, there is a community advisory board that is actively seeking members at this time, and participation is always encouraged.”
