The Housing Authority of Southeastern Utah is sponsoring a naming contest for its newest planned subdivision. The group has purchased a vacant lot on Mill Creek Drive to develop an affordable, mixed-use housing project, but must determine a name for the new subdivision.

The housing authority is asking area residents to submit name suggestions by email to hasu@frontiernet.net, by mail, or in person at the office at 321 East Center Street. The name, address, and daytime phone number of the person submitting the entry must be included on the submission. Submissions are due no later than Sept. 30. A $50 gift certificate for dinner at a Moab restaurant will be awarded to the winning submission.
