She is survived by her husband, Rex G. Bloom and family; Gail A. Bloom, daughter-in-law; and grandsons, Tim and Scott Bloom.
Vernabell also had three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
She was born in Packerton, Ind., and raised in Warsaw, Ind., where she met her husband Rex. They were married in 1941 and moved to California, where they lived with their son, Rex G. Bloom Jr.
In 1976, Verni retired from Northrop, where she was chief switchboard operator with six people working for her. Rex and Verni moved to Moab, Utah, where they designed and built their house in Kayenta Heights Estates and lived for 37 years. She was a member of the Moab Community Church, where she served as the church historian for 15 years.
Vernabell D. Bloom was well known and loved by the town of Moab and will be truly missed by the community of Moab and her family. God Bless her.
