Quigley, a senior, is the daughter of Brian and Charlotte Quigley.
Quigley was named a runner-up in the Speech and Drama category at the regional Sterling Scholar competition held on March 5.
At school, Quigley has been involved in various sports and activities. She has participated in soccer, swimming, golf, and debate. She was named academic all-region in soccer and took first place in the region in oratory as part of the GCHS debate team. She also is involved in student government and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Outside of school, Quigley has volunteered at various community events, including the Canyonlands Half Marathon races and the Moab Pumpkin Chuckin’ Festival. She has worked as a hostess at the Sunset Grill.
Quigley says she plans to attend college and major in international studies and communications.
Knowles, a junior, is the son of John and Jacque Knowles.
A distance runner, Knowles has been involved at school in cross-country and track, and was a member of the Red Devils’ state championship track teams in 2011 and 2012. He also competed on Grand County High’s first-ever swim team this winter.
Knowles is also an accomplished musician, and has played in the jazz band and the marching band. He received a superior rating at region solo and ensemble and an excellent rating at state.
Knowles was co-chairman of junior prom, helping plan and organize the event. He was crowned prom king at the dance on March 2.
A member of the National Honor Society, Knowles also belongs to the school’s HOPE Club and Earth Club.
Outside of school, he has spent time volunteering at various events, including local half marathon races and the Puttin’ on the Ritz fundraiser for Seekhaven.
Knowles says he plans to attend college and major in either the medical or engineering fields.
