The wrestling program is for youth wrestlers who have not reached high school age. Moab’s team includes wrestlers age 3 to 13.
Taking first place in their respective age categories for the Little Devils were: Patrick Reilly, Ean Ellis, Oscar Martinez, Jairett West, Gail Leavitt, Trea Meyer, Carson Sheets, and Carson Whitney.
Little Devil wrestlers who took second place were: Peyton Hatathley, Cayden Audenried, Gannon James, Breckin Shepard, Chase Sims, and Colin Randall.
Andrew Jones, Lucas Caylor, Brayden M. Hughes, Daxon Kerby, Cash Ruggeri, Landen D. Young, Connor Ehlers, Bryce Johnston, Michael Mallory, Caden Swasey, Conner Swasey, Jaxon Carroll, Rowan Phillips, Hunter Allen, Tanner Crane, Kaison Guerrero, Zane Mayer-Young, Dante Wells, Morgan Alvey, Jaden Blanchard and Conner Ainge all took third place in their divisions during last weekend’s home event.
Finishing their divisions in fourth place were: Dallas Kerby, Talon Johnston, Dayton Robertson, Preston M. Young, Braxton Martinez, Aiden “AJ” Allred, Andrew Butterfield, Jaxson Stubblefield, Ayden Ceniceros, Jason McKinney, Aaron Stewart, Cade Schmidt, Caison Ault, Macray Ellis, Richard Shumway, Tyler Bohannon, Dane Clayton Glencoe, Corbin Mays, Tygis Jay Glencoe, and Sydney Shumway.
“This was a tough tournament and the Little Devils wrestlers were awesome and they made their coaches proud,” coach Ed Guerrero said.
The team’s next tournament will be in Monticello on March 2.
