Since I’ve lived at this address alone for seven years, it is extremely clear that this person has lied. In fact, I would bet this person does not even exist. Now the rest of us who actually pay for health care will have to make up the difference.
This is far from the first time someone has used that name and my address at both entities. Something that could be extremely easily fixed by requiring positive ID, but that is most likely not legal, even though it is my understanding it is illegal to leave your house in this state without ID.
Other names have been also used in the past and may show up here again. I’m sure that both entities could easily flag my address and require proof from anyone claiming it as their identity and address, but that is extremely unlikely to happen, and the rest of us will have to pay for it and see costs continue to rise dramatically.
