I am writing in regards to mineral lease threat by Kiley Miller. I wish you would get off your soapbox and live and let live.

You try to get us to live according to your ways, but we’re all different. We’re not always going to agree on the same thing, but it does not mean that we can’t live together in harmony.

You don’t want the Jeep Safari and now you don’t want oil drilling, What is your problem? And what are you afraid of – your own shadow?

The oil companies have regulations and safety procedures to follow. They are not going to jeopardize Moab or the water.

Why don’t you just move to where none of these things are taking place and then you won’t have to worry if things don’t go the way you think they should.

I don’t like the idea of people moving here and trying to change everything and get us to try and live their way. You have too many double standards.

The oil platforms don’t look nearly as bad as all the ugly land-disturbing wind-power windmills. Those never go away, but the oil platforms are removed when they are finished.

I think you are just miserable living here or you wouldn’t keep trying to stop the issues that could be good for our economy. I don’t understand why you live here. All you seem to do is complain about things that take place here in Moab.

I support the jeepers and oil drilling, which has been going on for years yet we are still alive and well living in this beautiful country. There are much bigger things to worry about than a little oil drilling, which is the least of our problems.

Please let the oil and gas leases pass. I support them 100 percent.
