Phyllis had many great stories and memories growing up in Telluride. During the 1940s Phyllis moved with her family to California. There, she met and married Gilbert Ogden, and they raised three children Jim, Barbara and Pam.
Phyllis and Gilbert spent their retirement years traveling. One of those travels took them to Parker Dam, Calif., where they spent their winters. After Gil passed away, she continued to go to her winter home, where she then met the next love in her life, Ernie George. Ernie and Phyllis shared many adventures together and played golf as often as they could. Ernie shared his beautiful Canadian home with her in New Denver, B.C.
Phyllis started her last adventure quietly on April 10, 2013, in the early morning.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert L. Ogden; her parents, Howard Warner and Olive Warner-Evans, and Robert C. Evans; as well as her brother, Albert “Bud” Warner.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest George, of Canada; a son, James (Nancy) Ogden, of Idaho; two daughters, Barbara (Al) Hahn of Oregon, and Pam Seep of Moab; stepchildren, Allison George and William George; seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 14, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Spanish Valley Mortuary in Moab, with a viewing starting at 10 a.m., prior to the service. A burial of the ashes will take place at a later date.
