The committee will work on “developing recommendations regarding future uses of the Moab UMTRA Project sites through a public planning process,” according to a news release from Lee Shenton, Grand County UMTRA liaison.
The new committee will be a seven-member subcommittee of MTPSC that includes one stakeholder each from Grand County, Moab city, the National Park Service and the Bureau of Land Management, and three at-large members from the Moab community, Shenton said. The MTPSC is seeking persons interested in serving as at-large members of the SFC.

The MTPSC hopes to select the at-large members at its Jan. 8 meeting scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Grand County Council chambers.
