Thanks for the Moab Sustainability Festival. Many people are already working singly or in groups to improve these times and leave a lighter mark on the earth, yet often they feel isolated and separate in their actions and attitudes – or discounted and unappreciated.

In a period when the spotlight often shines on the flamboyant, wasteful, or bizarre, it felt nourishing and profound to be in the company of those who took time to celebrate many of the countless, frugal, innovative, and traditional ways people are making a difference.

I appreciate all the folks who dare to keep on trying – they deserve our respect and support.
