Even though the regular season has ended for the Little Devil wrestling team, some of its wrestlers still traveled and competed in tournaments over the past two weekends.

On Saturday, April 5, four Little Devils participated in the 2014 Little League State Championship Tournament in Panguitch. There were 560 wrestlers from across the state representing 42 teams. All four Little Devil wrestlers placed and wrestled very well, coach Ed Guerrero said.

Austin Paris Wright was the state champion in the kindergarten division. Landon Moralez was the state champion in the third grade division. Lane Peterson took third place in the first grade division and Oscar Martinez took fourth place in the third grade division.

On Saturday April 12, three Little Devils traveled to Piedra Vista, N.M., to compete in the Four Corners Division Tournament. They competed against 18 teams from the four corners area.

Austin Paris Wright took first place in the kindergarten division. Lane Peterson took first place in the first grade division and Oscar Martinez took sixth place in the third grade division.
