Kerry Louise “McCourt” Tharp age 44, passed away on Dec. 18, 2013 surrounded by her loved ones. Kerry went to be with her mom, Louise Roedel Knieb, who passed away Nov. 7, 2013.

Kerry was born Feb. 25, 1969.

Kerry was a homemaker; she knew how to make you feel at home. She enjoyed spending time with her family, which she loved very much. She enjoyed watching movies and loved playing bingo with her mother, Louise. Kerry was loved by everyone who knew her. She was great at being a mother and grandmother, and she was a loving and giving person. We love you, mom.

She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Leland Tharp, of Moab, Utah; daughter, Misty Louise Tharp, of Moab, Utah; son, Justin Leland Tharp, of Grand Junction, Colo.; daughter, Mandy Lynn Tharp, of Moab, Utah; father, John Kieb, of Golden Valley, Ariz.; grandchildren: Damian Lee Pipkin and Erica Johannaha Pipkin, of Moab, Utah; brother, Bobby Appleby, of Price, Utah; sister, Raylynn McCourt, of Las Vegas, Nev.; aunt, Georgia Huckins, of Moab, Utah; aunt, Janet Roedel, of Price, Utah; and uncle, Bill Roedel of Golden Valley, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin Ray McCourt; mother, Louise “Roedel” Knieb; twin brother, Terry McCourt; brother, Ray McCourt Jr.; uncle, Charlie Roedel; and several nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28, at 2 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price, Utah, (680 East 100 South). Family and friends may gather from 1:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the services at the mortuary. Family and friends may share memories of Kerry at
