The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the LaSal Mountain Outfitters shop and indoor archery range, located at 3031 South U.S. 191, just south of Moab.
During the event, families and individuals are invited to learn about and try out the sport of archery. Bows, arrows and targets will be provided, free of charge, to anyone who wants to participate.
“If you or your children have ever wanted to shoot a bow and arrow, this is a great opportunity to do so without having to buy equipment or make special arrangements,” Brent Stettler, regional conservation outreach manager for the Utah DWR, said in a news release.
Stettler said training in how to shoot a bow and arrow, and all of the equipment needed to participate, will be provided, at no charge during the archery shoot.
Even though the event is free, participants must pre-register. To pre-register, or for more information, contact Stettler at 435-613-3707 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
