Estelle made many friends both here in Moab and in Ferron. She had (and we’re sure still has) an incorrigible spirit, a mighty wit, sharp sense of humor, and a forgiving, generous heart. She loved good home cooking, flower gardening and taking trips. She especially loved feeding and watching the wild birds. She always had an adventurous spirit, single-handedly driving her family (her Aunt Maudie and 5-year old daughter Katherine) from the Maryland coast to California in 1939. She had an honest laugh and resilient personality that taught her to roll with the punches and come back feisty and spunky as ever. She was a styling babe with lots of pizzazz. She had 94 years of a colorful life.
Her death was quick, peaceful, and pain-free. Ciao, Bella! See you later - Love always, Katherine and Kaki Hunter.
