Participants are asked to join park staff and local birders at 8 a.m. at the park visitor center. The bird count will take place along various routes within the park. Local bird-watching enthusiasts will lead each group and will help confirm the identification of all species spotted throughout the day.

The event is free of charge. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars, snacks, water and dress for the weather conditions.
