He was born on April 17, 1924, in Olathe, Colo., the son of George Lee and Lattie Boyle McClellan.
He married Faye Schneider on Sept. 29, 1948, in Grand Junction, Colo.
McClellan was employed at T.G. Chemical as a hoist operator for 17 years and retired in 1983.
His interests included cabinet making, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Faye McClellan of Green River, Wyo.; one son, Robert Charles McClellan and wife Deborah of Centerville, Tenn.; two daughters, Londa Porenta and husband Frank, and Judy McClellan and Ed Jessop, all of Green River; one sister, Collena Dickerson of Chiang Mai, Thailand; 12 grandchildren: Lawrence Bianco, Catherine Bianco, Nicholas Bianco, Ian McClellan, Cassidy McClellan, Lindsey Hill and husband Nathan, Mike Porenta and wife “Sami,” Jennifer Jones and husband Casey, Bradley Schunk and Jaime Scharnowske, Kimberly Jessop McKinney and husband Zach, Aimee Jessop Gibson and husband Jeremy, and Lindsey Jessop and fiance, Aaron Brown; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Marvin, Earl, and Raymond; and one sister, Edna Harris.
Following cremation, memorial services were conducted at the Green River Church of Christ.
