Groesbeck, a sixth-grader, is the daughter of Danette Groesbeck and Brad Groesbeck.
The staff and faculty of HMK said Groesbeck was chosen, in part, because she “is diligent in her work and in her attitude about school.”
Staff members said Groesbeck is “a wonderful person, not just a student,” and noted that she “always provides her best in her work and her studies.”
Moab Mayor Dave Sakrison and the Moab City Council presented the award to Jones at the Feb. 8 council meeting.
The HMK Students of the Month are selected by the faculty and staff of the school based on their all-around citizenship and their involvement within their school. The city of Moab presents the award as part of an ongoing effort to foster and recognize the contributions of young people within the community in practicing good citizenship.
