Two Moab men were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol just minutes apart on July 26 after they ran the same stoplight at 200 South and Main Street driving two separate vehicles.
One man was stopped for running the stop sign at about 11:53 p.m., according to a report from the Moab City Police Department. The officer smelled alcohol and the driver submitted to field sobriety tests, which he failed, according to the report. The man told police he had consumed four beers earlier in the evening, according to the report.
The second arrest occurred about seven minutes later when another police officer saw a vehicle run the stop sign and pulled over the driver. That man also appeared intoxicated, according to a police report. The driver failed several field sobriety tests and was booked into Grand County Jail on charges of DUI. He admitted to police that he had consumed seven beers that evening, according to the report.
